How privacy works
What Zpad keeps private, what it cannot, and what changes when shielded ZEC payments arrive.
The idea
Everything on Solana is public. Anyone can see which wallet launched a coin, who bought it, how much, and where those wallets got their SOL. One payment from your main wallet can tie a coin to the rest of your history.
Zpad's plan: you pay with shielded ZEC (Zcash), and Zpad does the Solana side for you. Your own Solana wallet does not pay for the launch or the buy, so nothing on Solana points back to it.
What shielded ZEC hides
- A shielded Zcash payment hides the sender, the receiver and the amount on the Zcash chain.
- Shielded addresses start with
zs1oru1. Addresses that start withtare transparent: they are public, like a Solana address. - Send from a shielded balance. ZEC sent from a transparent address shows where it came from.
Today
This is how it works now, before ZEC payments. Be clear on it before you launch or trade.
With ZEC payments
- Launch: you pay for the launch in shielded ZEC. Zpad launches the coin on Solana. No payment from your Solana wallet, and no wallet of yours shown as the launcher.
- Buy: you pay in shielded ZEC instead of SOL from your wallet.
- Staking and holder rewards: paid in shielded ZEC to a Zcash address you give. See Staking and Holder rewards.
What stays public, even with ZEC
- Trading on pump.fun is public on Solana. Every buy and sell, its price and its amount can be seen by anyone.
- The coin itself: its address, its supply, its holders and their balances.
- Any Solana wallet that holds the coin. If you move coins to a wallet you use elsewhere, that link is public.
- Timing and amounts. A ZEC payment and a Solana trade a few seconds apart, with matching amounts, can be linked by a careful watcher.
- Your IP address, which any website you visit can see. Zpad keeps a keyed hash of it with your session, and counts sign in attempts per address for a short time to stop abuse.
What Zpad stores
Zpad keeps what it needs to run: your wallet address and sign in session, the coins you launched, your chat messages, favorites and trading settings, and your rewards records. Zpad never asks for your name, email address or phone number. The Privacy Policy has the full list.
Good habits
- Use a fresh Solana wallet for coins you want kept apart from your main wallet.
- Never send coins or SOL between a private wallet and your main wallet.
- Once ZEC payments open, pay from a shielded balance, never from a transparent address.
- Vary your timing and amounts.
